?Chapter 1109:
The flickering mes of the candles reflected gently in Susan’s eyes as she was pulled up by Dane, still in a daze. As she felt the warmth of everyone’s anticipation and blessings, her eyes began to glisten with unshed tears.
She had endured many hardships before, but this time, no one med her.
They stood by her side, offering help and even celebrating her triumph over adversity with a grand cake. It was the first time she had ever experienced such support.
Susan tightened her grip on Dane’s hand, her heart swelling with emotion. She held back the tears, making a silent wish as she gazed at the glowing candles and the words on the cake.
No matter what came next, she hoped her family and friends could ovee their struggles and findsting happiness.
She and Dane leaned in closer.
“It’s time to blow out the candles!”
Together, Dane and Susan blew out the candles, their heads close together. Madisyn and Andrew exchanged a look, smiles ying on their faces as they pped in unison with the rest of the Johns family. A servant handed a knife to Susan. Dane stood behind her, hisrge hands encircling hers as they cut the cake together.
Everyone at the table was served a slice, and even the servants in the manor received a piece.
“Thank you, Susan.” Waylon took the cake Susan handed him, took a bite, and then blinked. His eyes darted around the room before settling on Andrew.
It wouldn’t be any fun if the cake was just eaten without some yful mischief, and among everyone present, only his sister and Andrew were younger than him.
Waylon set his cake fork down and, unable to resist, decided to target Andrew instead of his sister.
“Andrew!” Waylon suddenly called out.
Andrew had just gotten up to take the cake from Dane when Waylon’s voice caught his attention. Just as he turned around, Madisyn saw Waylon’s mischievous move—throwing cream at Andrew.
“Waylon!” she cried out in rm, leaping to her feet to pull Andrew out of harm’s way. But Waylon’s aim was off. Before she could move Andrew, the cream veered off course andnded squarely on her forehead.
“Ouch!”
The members of the Johns family immediately clenched their fists, prepared to reprimand Waylon. But when their gazes shifted to Madisyn, they all fell silent.
Her delicate face, now sporting a small dollop of cream on her brow, made her look irresistibly cute. Her serious expression only added to her charm. Everyone present, including Waylon, waspletely enchanted.
Unlike the friends he used to y cake games with, Madisyn was always adorable, no matter the situation.
However, Madisyn had no idea how she looked at that moment. She only saw Waylon causing trouble, acting like a child. Biting her lip, she decided it was time to teach him a lesson.
Her gaze locked onto the cake in front of her. With quick hands, she scooped up some cream and hurried over to Waylon.
