    Madisyn hesitated. “What about you and Howard?”


    Milly’s lips curved into a soft, reassuring smile. “Nothing will change.” It was rare for Milly to say much, and she usually only smiled when speaking with Howard. So, her smile now left Madisyn momentarily stunned. It was clear Milly had made up her mind and felt secure in her rtionship with her brother.


    After a brief pause, Madisyn nodded. “Alright, I’ll approve it. ording to this n, you have three assignments tomorrow, followed by filming a show with Watkins the day after.

    “Thank you, Madisyn,” Milly said gently. “If possible, I’d like you to arrange more work for me. I want to make as much money as I can.”


    Madisyn didn’t entirely understand why Milly felt that way, but she chose to respect her decision. “If any good opportunitiese up, I’ll let you know,” she said with a small nod.


    After Madisyn left, Milly leaned back on the sofa, her expression calm as always. She reviewed her uing schedule, then picked up her phone to check her bank ount details.


    Her lips curled into a subtle smile as she saw the updated bnce. Without a second thought, she transferred most of it to Howard’s ount and sent him a message. “Go ahead, spoil yourself!”


    A few momentster, her phone vibrated. First, an adorable brown bear stomping its feet popped up on her screen, followed by a voice message from Howard.


    “Thanks, babe! There’s this recipe I’ve been wanting to try—I’ll grab the ingredients after work and cook it for you. And don’t worry, I’ll bring your favorite snacks too! Is there anything else you’d like?”

    Milly smiled, her fingers lightly tapping the phone as she reyed his voice message a couple of times. Finally, she responded with a cute bunny emoji shaking its head. “Nothing else!”


    Howard’s reply came quickly. “Got it. Love you, babe. You always make my day.”


    As the chat ended, Milly felt a wave of contentment. Her thoughts drifted to Howard’s reaction the first time she’d surprised him by transferring money to his ount.


    She loved the way his eyes lit up, and his smile radiated happiness. It was a smile she wanted to see more often, and for that, she needed to work harder. Money was important, but it was his happiness that truly mattered.


    It was a good thing. It gave her the ability to care for the person she adored. And he appreciated being taken care of, which made it all the more worth it.
