Chapter 1142

    ?Chapter 1142:

The director wrapped up his instructions and signaled for the participants to check their tasks.

Milly had done her homework beforeing and wasn’t thrown off by the sudden “game.”

Watkins stood next to her, his brow furrowed as he read his task.

“Using the changing shadow of the sun to create a simple sundial to tell time. The vi will provide some tools. Oh my gosh, this is too hard. What’s yours, Milly?”

Watkins had just wrapped up a project with Milly, so among the participants, she was the one he was most familiar with. Fans in the live broadcast room immediately buzzed with excitement at the sight of him interacting with Milly, eager to know what task she had drawn. Since thepletion of the tasks was tied to dinner, everyone revealed their tasks aloud.

    Milly did the same.

“Using traditional local techniques for salt extraction to refine edible salt from a bucket of water in the vi’s living room.”

    “Well…”

As the participants read their tasks, they turned to the director withints.

“Why’s it so hard right from the start?”

The director smiled at their troubled faces and encouraged them, “Feel free to team up and tackle these tasks together. I wish you all avish dinner tonight!”

The phones of the participants were confiscated, and the vi waspletely devoid of any food. To earn a meal, they had toplete their designated tasks.

Milly nced at her task card and, without a word, immediately began working.

Seeing her take action, the other participants followed suit. Evie’s task was to follow steps to construct a basic 3D projector using stic sheets, which was simpler.

Finding Milly, Evie said, “Milly, I’ll help you as soon as I’m done with mine.”

After speaking, she dashed over to the toolbox to gather the necessary materials and tools.

Making a 3D projector was something Evie had done as a child, so it was pretty easy for her. The production team had set up many experimental tasks because the city they were in was a well-known hub for science and technology.

The 3D projector worked by assembling trapezoidal stic pieces into a three-dimensional form. When ced over a 2D animation, it brought the content to life in 3D.

Eviepleted her task swiftly, leaning over the table. After submitting her results to the production team for verification, she was rewarded with arge te of beef and sausages. She ced the food in the kitchen where Milly was.

    “Milly!”

Evie approached, watching Milly pour a saltwater solution from a bucket into a pot, where it began to boil, thickening as it heated.

“Milly, you’re brilliant. The traditional salt-making method on the card calls for sun-drying in salt fields, which would take hours, but boiling it like this will get it done quickly.”
