The woman huffed. "Ha! I was careless this time, but Xena, you won''t get anything from me, and your grandfather-he''ll die in absolute agony!"


    Blood spurted from her mouth as sheughed, and within seconds, she was dead.


    Felix shook his head in disappointment. "For someone about to be a Wady, you''re quite slow. I gave you such clear hints, yet you didn''t restrain her-and now she''s dead. Don''t me this on me!" Xena was furious, holding back the urge to p him. "I just got here and knew nothing about the situation! How was I supposed to react that quickly? Since you could subdue her, why didn''t you restrain her yourself?" Felix changed his approach, realizing arguing with her was pointless. "She only mentioned working for someone called Madam Spring. That''s all I know. You can go now."


    The name clearly meant something to Xena. She gasped and immediately grabbed the woman''s body before rushing out.


    The next morning, after breakfast, Felix drove with Jack in the passenger seat. He gave Jack a sidelong nce and asked resignedly, "Are you really here just to see me off?"


    Jack grinned. "Come on, why so grumpy about havingpany? It''s a long drive to Canraville, and I''m doing you a favor by keeping youpany."


    Felix knew better-Jack was obviously using this as an excuse to visit Vanessa in Canraville.


    "Since Nessa''s in Canraville and you''re also going there, I guess I''ll have to request a transfer there as well," Jack admitted.


    After a moment''s hesitation, Felix responded, "That''s your business. I can''t really talk to Yvonne about it in my current situation."


    Since hisst conversation with Yvonne, he had decided not to contact her until the situation with Xena was resolved.


    "Don''t worry. Ms. Cooper likes me, and I''m confident I can get transferred," Jack assured


    him.


    Having promised Curtis, Felix nned to head straight to Canraville to find a ce to live. Just then, Vanessa called, and after hanging up, Jack smiled. "Nessa''s throwing you a wee dinner tonight and inviting some friends so she can properly introduce me. You won''t turn us down, right?" Jack asked. Though Felix was not a fan of such gatherings, he could not refuse Vanessa. "Sure. You''d probably beat me up if I didn''te."

    Just as they hit the highway, Jack suddenly sat up straight with an incredibly scheming grin that made Felix ufortable.


    Felix urged, "Just spit it out!"


    Jack gulped nervously before saying in a ttering tone, "Felix, Dreamscape''s having a concert in Canraville. You could definitely get me a ticket with your connections, right?"


    Felix could onlyugh helplessly at Jack''s apparent fondness for Dreamscape. "Sorry, but you''re asking the wrong person. I don''t have any connections for that.


    Just as Jack was about to respond with disappointment, Felix''s phone rang. It was Yvonne, and despite Jack''s presence, Felix answered through the car''s Bluetooth. "Yvonne, what''s up?"


    Upon hearing his boss'' voice, Jack immediately sat up straight as Yvonne spoke. She said, I want you to think carefully before answering-miss would like to invite you to Dreamscape''s concert. Will you ept?"
