Averill turned off the TV with a bored expression. "I''m bored, Felix. Let''s y."


    At those words, Felix quickly waved his hands in protest. "No! Averill, don''t try anything funny!"


    In his current state, without any martial arts abilities, he would bepletely defenseless if Averill tried to force herself on him.


    Averill pouted and revealed a deck of ying cards from behind her back. "What''s going on in that dirty mind of yours? I meant these cards, though if you want to y something else, I wouldn''t mind," she teased.


    For once, Felix could not help but blush-he really did let his imagination run wild. He replied, "Fine. I can handle this game."


    Just then, his phone rang. It was Ryan, who had given him his contact info two days ago." Felix, I''m driving over to pick you up now. Whatever important things you have nned, cancel them. The opportunity I mentioned is happening tonight." Felix frowned at the timing but agreed anyway. "Alright,e pick me up."


    After exining the situation to Averill, she offered her advice. "No worries, I''ll be right behind you. We can deal with this imposter in minutes, then handle Solomon from the Elders'' Council. It won''t be a problem." "Alright," Felix agreed.


    About 20 minutester, Ryan arrived in an SUV. He smiled when Felix got in. "d you didn''t disappoint me. Miss this chance, and there won''t be another."


    Felix chuckled and said, "Of course. How could I pass up meeting Dr. Hoffman''s apprentice?" He was determined to uncover who was behind this charade.


    As they drove out of Canraville, Felix looked around curiously. "Where are we going? This seems pretty remote."


    Ryan nodded. "Eastern Mountain. What''s wrong? Don''t tell me a grown man like you is afraid I''m kidnapping you?"


    Felix was amused. He could not help but think luck was on his side-now, he could solve two problems at once.


    "Remember to be respectful when we get there," Ryan advised. "Someone of their status might or might not be moved by your story, but at least we shouldn''t make any basic mistakes, right?" Felix nodded. "I get it. Don''t worry. I know how to handle myself."


    Soon, the car stopped at the foot of Eastern Mountain, and Ryan pointed upward. "We''re climbing up. I won''t wait for you, so I''ll give you a lift."


    Without waiting for Felix''s agreement, Ryan grabbed his arm and shot up the mountain like lightning. When they reached the top, Felix had so many questions in his head.


    "Wait here. I''ll signal you when it''s time to step out," Ryan instructed. Then, he jumped out of the forest.


    A man sat on arge rock on the mountain peak, drinking from a sk.


    "Mr. Gill, I''m here," Ryan greeted, admiration in his eyes.


    "You just keep causing trouble."


    Ryanughed sheepishly while rubbing his hands. "I know how good you''ve been to me, Mr. Gill. That guy''s talented, and it would be a loss to our traditional medicinemunity if he stays down. Besides, it won''t interfere with your business." Then, leaning forward, Ryan lowered his voice and asked, "By the way, Mr. Gill, are you really going to go after him? He''s Dr. Hoffman''s apprentice, after all. What''s the Elder Council''s opinion on this? Isn''t this too reckless?"
