Billionaire With Husband 493

Felix had no idea how to get to Shunnington University, which was why he hadn''t realized anything.

However, the driver soon withdrew a hand from the steering wheel. Reaching toward his abdomen, he pulled out a handgun, pointing it directly at Felix.

"Don''t even think about moving an inch. I''ve killed more than just one person."

In the back seat, Nancy was terrified, even though she couldn''t see the gun. With the car speeding along, jumping out wasn''t an option.

"So, you''re a killer. I''m guessing this cab isn''t yours either?" Felix remarked calmly.

The driver smirked. "You''re pretty sharp. The real driver is in the trunk. He''s dead as a doornail. I was nning to grab some random passenger, but then you gged me down."

As he spoke, the driver nced at Nancy in the rearview mirror, licking his lips. "Damn, this chick is a knockout. Way better than the ones I''ve paid for. I''m going to take my time with her." Felix''s expression turned odd. Of all the people to run into, he had to find a murderer.

"What you''ll be enjoying," Felix said coldly, "is the full weight of thew."

In the blink of an eye, Felix threw a punch, his other hand darting out to snatch the gun. Then, he grabbed the wheel and mmed the driver''s foot to stomp on the brake.

The series of actions happened so fast that in the back seat, Nancy barely registered what was happening before the cab screeched to a stop.

"You okay?" Felix asked, turning to look at her.

Nancy stared at him, stunned. "Y-Yeah, I''m fine."

When the police arrived, Nancy saw the gun being bagged as evidence. Shuddering, she turned to Felix, her face pale. "He had a gun?" Felix nodded. "Yeah. But it''s all taken care of now."

Despite being held at gunpoint, Felix stayed calm. On top of that, he managed to fight back-

    and win.

Nancy''s gaze shifted, admiration now mingling with her shock. What woman wouldn''t be drawn to a man like this?

After calling Alistair to handle the aftermath, Felix left with Nancy. He had no time for police reports or formalities.

As for the driver, there was no doubt he would face the death penalty. The body in the trunk

    ensured that.

At the entrance to Shunnington University, Nancy clutched her purse with both hands, forcing a smile. "Thank you for saving me."

Felix waved it off. "No big deal. Now go on in."

Watching her walk away, Felix couldn''t help but chuckle bitterly to himself. "Please don''t let this cause trouble for me."

If it weren''t for that whole incident with the killer, their first meeting wouldn''t have meant much. However, fate had a strange way of arranging life events.

Felix was worried Nancy wouldn''t forget what happened that night. Then again, there wasn''t much use in worrying. He would just deal with itter.

When Felix got home, he was surprised to see Xena step out of a nearby car. "Zena? What are you doing here sote?"

Xena wore an unreadable expression. "You caught another S-rank fugitive. I came to gather some information."

It was Felix''s turn to be confused.

"What? I just got back to the city today. How could I have turned in an S-rank fugitive? Are you sure this isn''t a mistake?" "Let''s talk inside," she said.

Once inside the vi, Xena pulled out her phone and showed him a picture. "Isn''t this the guy you caught?"

At one nce, Felix recognized the cab driver. "You''re kidding me, right? That guy is an S- rank fugitive?"

Before he could say more, he noticed Xena''s gaze shift.

"I knew it. Your strength has returned," she said.

Felix sighed. It was no wonder she visited him. She must have pieced things together from the clues and wanted confirmation. Today''s Bonus Offer
