    As a high-ranking official herself, Xena understood the immense influence required to secure someone''s release in such situations.     Around 10:30 am, the doorbell rang. Seeing it was Jack, Felix grabbed him by the cor and pulled him inside. "Jack, you really screwed me overst night!"

    Felix rolled his eyes, realizing there was no point inining. "Never mind that. Why are you here?"

    "With Nancy?" Felix asked, catching on.


    Jack nodded. "Nancy wants to thank you for helping her out of that huge mess. She''s

    Felix immediately declined. "No way. I appreciate the gesture, though."


    "Come on!" Jack pleaded. "I wasn''t kidding about the knife thing! Nessa will make a living hell if you don''te!"

    Felix shook his head. "Ask Nessa if this will be herst attempt at matchmaking. If she agrees to stop after this, I''ll go."


    "Already ahead of you," Jack replied. "I said the same thing, and she agreed. If you still don''t feel anything for Nancy after this, she''ll back off for good." "Fine. Let me get ready. Wait in the car," Felix relented.


    Just as he finished putting on his shoes, his phone rang with an unknown number. He picked it up, and the woman on the other end said, "Felix, this is Aimee Reynolds." Felix was surprised to hear from Xena''s cousin. He had thought she would have disappeared after the Walsh family incident.


    "Listen carefully," she continued. "I know your biggest secret. You have three days to leave Canraville and cut all contact with Xena, or I''m going public with it."
