With Husband 659

"Stop!" Just as the men raised their iron bars to attack Felix, a thunderous shout rang out. It was Clement, who had emerged from his vi fully dressed. He looked like he was about to head out.

"Damn it! Who the hell dares to interfere?" The young man snarled as he turned around, but his expression instantly changed. "Mr. Parson?"

Clement''s face darkened as he pointed at the young man. "Huxley Linton, are you itching for trouble again? Why are you attacking people in broad daylight? Has your father stopped disciplining you?" Hearing their conversation, it was clear they knew each other, and Huxley was afraid of Clement. "Come on, Mr. Parson. It was just a joke to scare him. We weren''t really going to hurt him! We''re leaving right now."

After Huxley left with his men, Felix seized the opportunity to be friendlier with Clement. "Thank you, Mr. Parson. Honestly, I''mpletely lost here since I''ve just arrived in Gray City. I don''t even know that young man."

Clement considered before answering, "That kid''s just a rich troublemaker with too much time on his hands. He probably woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. Don''t worry. He won''t bother you again. I''ve got urgent business to attend to, so I''ll head out now." From his intel, Felix knew Clement had inherited his parents'' real estatepany after their passing. It had once been quite a bigpany, but many business connections had dried up

after his father''s death. Clement was barely keeping it afloat, or he would have moved to a better ce by now.

Felix could easily help turn things around, but that would be too obvious. To reconnect with Xena, connecting with her pen pal Willow was the key. He needed to take things slowly because rushing would not help.

At sunset, Felix visited a pizzeria he had found online with great reviews. As expected, it was packed for dinner time. After waiting for a table, Felix ordered and was halfway through his pizza when someone sat across from him. Sharing tables wasmon in small restaurants, so Felix paid no attention.

    "Haven''t we met somewhere before?"

Felix nced up at his words. "Sorry. You must have confused me with someone else."

The man kept staring, then suddenly lit up with recognition. "Ah, now I remember! You''re the doctor who went to Rosalyn''s ce and treated her, right?"

Felix, too, just remembered. This seemed to be the guy from that car ident. Felix did not have a good impression of him then, so he did not bother showing any friendliness. "You got the wrong person." Wrong?

Mason smirked. His memory was not ying tricks.

"What? Are you unsatisfied with my attitude back then?" He scoffed. "You''d have been in real trouble if Rosalyn hadn''t stopped me. Running into you here in Gray City must be fate. I''ll give you a chance to make up for that ident."

Seeing Felix''s silence, Mason was unbothered. "A friend of mine is sick. I''ve already called Xander, and he''s flying in. But since you''re here, you might as well take a look first. Xander can take over when he arrives. I''ll let you finish your pizza first."

Mason was riding high these days. The Jacobs family had be the most prominent of the Eight Great Martial Families thanks to him. Now at Aetherial Realm, he was practically untouchable. He had been touring the country before resuming training when he ended up in Gray City.

When Felix finished and tried to leave, Mason blocked his path. "Are you really deaf? You didn''t hear what I said the first time, and you still can''t hear me now?"
