With Husband 752

"I''m sorry, Felix. I was too emotional and believed Tristan''s words," Clement apologized.

Felix waved his hand dismissively. "No. I should be the one apologizing. My personal grudges ended up affecting you both."

It was obvious that everything had been resolved, or these two would not havee to see him.

"Don''t say that! Mr. Yardley told me about the additional 500-million-dor loan, interest-free this time. I don''t know how to thank you enough," Clement said earnestly.

The interest on a mere 500-million-dor loan was nothingpared to earning the favor of a Supreme ck Card holder-anyone in that position could do the math. Felix had nned to reveal things gradually, but at this point, there was no use hiding anymore. After all, Clement and Willow were not foolish. They knew a simple neighborly rtionship could not run this deep, though they had not dared to ask. The incident with the Jacinto family had shown them that Felix was far more than just a doctor. "Actually, I came to Gray City because of you, Willow," Felix admitted.

Both were extremely surprised, and Clement, as the husband, had not even considered any romantic implications.

"Someone I loved deeply was your pen pal. We were once..." Felix began.

After he finished exining, Willow''s expression seemedplicated. She never imagined that the reason their family was saved was because of that pen pal-it seemed almost too fantastical.

"I had nned to let you get to know me over time, so you could genuinely speak on my behalf. But ns change faster than we expect, and continuing to hide the truth would only worsen things," Felix exined.

Clement remained silent while Willow took a long time before responding, "Could you give me a few days to think about this? To be honest, even though we''ve never met in person, years of correspondence have made us as close as family. I really need time to process this."

Felix nodded. "Of course. Now that everything''s out in the open, I won''t decision has to be yours." pressure you. This

Shortly after the couple left, Ryan called. "Mr. Zeller, have you seen Nelly these past few days? "Nelly?" Felix responded. "No, why?"

"It''s probably nothing. I haven''t been able to reach her for a couple of days. It''s happened before, but for some reason, I''m feeling uneasy. Sorry to bother you, Mr. Zeller."

After hanging up, Felix tried calling Nelly himself but got no answer. He sat in the courtyard, gazing at the stars, and suddenly felt at peace as everything became clear.

He had done his best to salvage his rtionship with Xena, and if Willow was unwilling to help, or if her help proved futile, he would not force the issue. He would follow George''s wishes and search for the remaining Dragonspines. After some time, Vivian called. "Mr. Zeller, Abyssal Surge Sect agreed, but..."

    Felix frowned. "But what?"

"They said it''s a separate matter. While they''ll end their issue with you, they absolutely won''t release the two people they''ve captured from their sect."

"They captured someone?" Felix''s expression darkened. "Who?"

    "Ryan Gibson and Nelly Lorenzo."

Felix clenched his teeth and fist. "Abyssal Surge Sect is asking for death! You really think I won''t go to war with you?"

Suddenly, a mysterious figure appeared before him, giggling mischievously. "Do you want to see Abyssal Surge Sect gone? I''ll help you with that." Today''s Bonus Offer
