Dickson shrugged it off, but something suddenly crossed his mind that made his throat go dry.


    "Are you talking about... the Ancient Sage?" he asked.


    Ezra nodded. "Indeed. If anyone in the capital could discover and nurture such talent, I can''t think of anyone else who could."

Why would there be a marriage tournament? Could she be ying both sides? Barry''s eyes widened at Felix''s response. "Felix, you''re really out of the loop! You must be the only person in Martial City who thinks this is about Nerissa."


    Felix feigned embarrassment and asked, "How so?"


    "Nerissa is one of the Top Ten Menaces and an absolute beauty. She''s publicly stated that she''s engaged, but everyone thinks that''s just her way of keeping suitors at bay. Nobody knows who this supposed fiancé actually is."
