?Chapter 388:

    ?? ?? ?? ?? ??

Unaware of her ulterior motives, Colton was entirely captivated by Sweety, the woman with long curly hair, zing down the track.

“I wonder if she can actually win,” he mused aloud. It was the first time he found himself genuinely invested in a racer.

Meanwhile, Allison was deftly maneuvering through the other vehicles.

The engine roared as she skillfully handled the steering wheel, guiding the heavy race car with remarkable ease. During sharp turns, the car tilted at incredible angles yet remained perfectly bnced.

    Allison had never felt better.

The wind whipped past her ears, and the world around her blurred into a tapestry of colors. An indescribable sense of freedom washed over her.

The extreme thrill not only pumped adrenaline through her veins but also instilled an unexpected calm within her soul.

“I haven’t felt this rxed in so long,” she muttered to herself.

For the first time in ages, she felt truly like herself. Swiftly overtaking on the insidene, Allison advanced to fourth ce, posing a significant challenge to Ken.

As they passed each other, Ken noticed her closely tailing him and wondered where this dark horse had emerged from.

But Ken remainedposed. He adjusted his trajectory, pressed down on the elerator, and surged ahead, the scenery shing by in a blur.

The blend of speed and passion was both dangerous and exhrating.

In the stands, the crowd erupted with excitement. Voices ovepped as spectators discussed the unfolding drama.

“Unbelievable! You see the one driving the purple race car? He’s a friend of mine—an experienced racer. Yet now, he’s been overtaken by a neer?”

“Yeah, unbelievable. I think even Turbo might get surpassed by this new driver, Sweety.”

“I thought she was just an ordinary racer, but it looks like she might actually take the championship this year.”

“Is Sweety an independent participant or a professional? I feel like I’ve never seen her before.”

    Shock rippled through everyone.

Most of the chatter centered around Turbo, the enigmatic racer who dominated the Underground and evenpeted under the same alias in motorcycle races. Turbo usually boasted a record of nine wins and one loss, but this time, he might just be defeated by a neer.

“I really don’t get why anyone would risk their lives like this. It’s way too dangerous,” Mny remarked, her voice dripping with boredom.

She nced at the racers with a mixture of disdain and indifference.

“But then again, I guess it makes sense. Between the Lloyd family’s heirlooms and a seven-hundred-thousand-dor prize, that kind of money is enough to make it worth the risk for some,” she continued, her lips curling slightly as if the idea was beneath her.

Dangerous, thrilling games like this were things she looked down upon.

In her mind, risking one’s life for money—even a sizable sum—was something only those at the bottom would do.
