Chapter 531

    ?Chapter 531:

“I won’t mess up again, I promise!” Mny said, her voice strained with panic.

Her chest tightened with fear as she barely dared to breathe. ustomed to luxury and praise, Mny had never faced such public humiliation. Yet, under Amor’s cold, merciless re, she bit back her pride.

With the deck dwindling and both teams tied, the room buzzed with stunned disbelief.

“Unbelievable… Amor’s lead is gone. Could Scarlet Snake actually win this?” whispered one spectator.

“Oh my God, I should have put money on Scarlet Snake. I’d be rolling in cash right now,” someone muttered.

“Shut up! The game’s not over yet. Don’t jinx it. Amor never loses, not here. She’s a legend in the casino,” another hissed.

Now, it was Amor’s turn to flip a card. She stood at the edge of the table, her expression dark as she flipped the card. It revealed another perfect pair, just as she’d anticipated.

But the tension in her shoulders didn’t ease.

Despite her lead, Allison and Ken’s seamless teamwork loomed over her, pressing with an unspoken threat. The game now hinged on whether Allison’s sharp memory would falter under pressure.

“One point to Amor,” the dealer announced, his voice clear and steady, as he shifted his attention to Allison. “Your turn, Scarlet Snake.”

“I’ll go for it,” Allison said, her hand moving over the cards with deliberate slowness.

For the first time, a hint of doubt shadowed her usuallyposed face, and a slight furrow formed between her brows as she paused, thinking carefully.

Mny’s heart pounded as she watched, her hands trembling at her sides. She silently chanted, “Please, let her make a mistake! Just once.”

The room was so still that it felt as if even the air held its breath, waiting for the oue.

    And All-In

It felt as though Mny’s wishes had finally been granted. When Allison revealed her cards a momentter, they turned out to be mismatched, far from a pair.

“No pair, Scarlet Snake scores zero,” the dealer announced, casting a nce upward at the crowd.

A rare grin spread across Mny’s face. “Guess even you’re not perfect,” she said, unable to resist a small jab.

Allison’s frustration was evident. Her breaths came quick and shallow, her chest rising as she struggled to rein in her anger. “Damn it… I memorized every detail, and still…” she muttered under her breath, her fingers gripping the edge of the gambling table in a mix of disbelief and irritation.

She cast a nce at Ken. “Mr. Lloyd, my apologies.” Her performance might have fooled most, but Ken wasn’t like the rest. He saw through her charade, memories of the Burned Inds shing in his mind. Back then, Allison’s beauty masked her sharp instincts and cunning moves in high-stakes situations. And when Ferdinand had stepped in to cover their tracks, she had worn the same mask of innocence she now disyed.
