Chapter 595

    ?Chapter 595:

Stunned and dizzy, Mny felt that her vision swam. This old witch must have lost it!

At that point, Mny’s patience snapped as well. “Lindy, I told you it wasn’t on purpose!”

“You liar! You’ve been holding a grudge against me this whole time!” Insults flew back and forth as their tempers boiled over, shattering any pretense of civility or strategy.

The careful plotting they had agreed on was entirely forgotten as theyshed out in anger.

Watching the chaos unfold, Ferdinand leaned on his hand, amused. “These two are really going all in. Keep going! I’ll throw in another one hundred and forty thousand!”

Reba rolled her eyes at him. “Don’t give them extra earnings. What if Miss Johnson takes your money and thinks the amount I gave for the p wasn’t enough?” she said, clicking her tongue. “What, are you offering to cover the difference for me?”

Ferdinand shrugged, replying, “Well, forget it. I’m not paying a cent for this circus act.”

Meanwhile, Mny was scrambling to fend off Lindy’s fury, retreating as she tried to calm her down. “Lindy, please, let’s get it together. Colton’s still out there, waiting for us! Now, just stay calm.”

Lindy shot back, “I am perfectly calm!”

Seeing her ready to strike again, Mny finally dropped the act and grabbed Lindy’s hand firmly. “Lindy, look around! Everyone’s watching us make fools of ourselves!”

Lindy froze, her pride her utmost concern. In her own home, she couldsh out all she wanted, and the servants wouldn’t dare breathe a word. But out here, the crowd was enjoying every moment of the drama unfolding.

Mny’s cheeks burned red from Lindy’s ps, making her look genuinely pitiful. “We’re just doing what Allison told us to…”

Her cheeks were red, her eyes brimming with tears from the sharp sting. The old hag really went all out, she thought bitterly.

In the end, the one pulling the strings was Allison.

Speaking each word slowly, Mny asked, “Allison, are you satisfied now?”

This time, her tears were real, her face throbbing from the relentless blows. Lindy, looking just as worse for wear, stood with her hair disheveled and a wild glint in her eye.

She red at Allison with an intensity that bordered on malice. “Haven’t you had enough yet? You’re truly vicious!”

Reba stepped forward, defending Allison without missing a beat. “If you’re so offended, then don’t take the money! Feeling insulted, huh? Then leave!”

Lindy’s expression darkened as she realized she couldn’t win this standoff with words alone. She took a deep breath, tempering her anger. “What’s the current total?” she muttered.
