Chapter 673

    ?Chapter 673:

“Not necessarily. The man I took fingerprints from has been put to death today.”

Allison’s expression darkened as she remembered Verruckt. Ken, catching on, looked at her with concern.

    “Allison, did you kill him?”

If she had, things would be far riskier for her in basement level one. It wasn’t the kind of ce where you could hide a body.

Allison quickly shook her head. “I met theb’s secret owner today. He didn’t speak, but his men broke that man’s jaw. He’s probably dead already, likely in Room 9, a ughterhouse.”

Gordon’s expression turned serious. “I’ve looked into their leader before. He’s a ruthless man who even kills his own people. If you’re dealing with him, you’re in serious danger, Allison.”

Just from the way they spoke, theb sounded like a terrifying ce. Ken noticed Allison’s unease and asked, “Is the boss threatening you?”

“Not yet, but we need to act fast.” Allison took a deep breath. “I’ve been assigned to a deeper level. My instincts tell me not to get too involved with him.”

If Verruckt had taken an interest and moved her deeper, it would bring much more attention, and her cover might not hold under closer scrutiny.

Ken grabbed a nk piece of paper and began sketching. “I’ve memorized theyout for the first floor and basement level one.”

He sketched as he spoke, capturing every detail, from the number of people in each office to every camera’s position.

Allison nced at the map. Ken’s memory was almost photographic, and the camera cements matched thework Gordon and Amya had set up.

After a moment, she pointed to the location of theb on basement level one.

“Lilian should be here. I have the central control chip for this level.”

She handed the chip to Gordon, who immediately plugged it into theputer and began typing.

    “Let’s have a look.”

After inputting his own code, he handed the chip back to Allison.

“Once you plug this into the main console, I can control the basement level one’s systems.”

    Allison nodded.

“Alright, I’ll handle opening theb door when it’s time.”

“Boss, when do we make our move?” Amya asked.

“We’ll watch for a few days. We need the right moment — ideally, when Verruckt isn’t at the facility.”

“Understood.” As he realized how much Allison seemed to fear Verruckt, Gordon marked him as a priority target for surveince.
