?Chapter 767:
After slipping in the information, Allison led them out of the basement.
In the elevator, Mny leaned close to Colton and whispered, “Colton, the people here are really strange, and I’ve heard this ce can be dangerous. Signing a contract with them might not be safe. What do you think?”
She leaned in even closer, speaking in a low voice. “How about we use Alice tomorrow and just steal the medicine?”
“Steal the medicine?” Colton raised his eyebrows, a hint of confusion on his face.
Mny gave a small nod and replied, “Yes, look at how they brushed us off today. We deserve to take some medicine. With so much here, taking just a little won’t matter.” She had a nagging feeling that something was wrong.
Mny thought that if Colton tried to follow the proper process, he wouldn’t get the medicine. And if that happened, Lindy would surely take out her frustration on Mny again.
Mny was fed up with it all.
Colton hesitated. “But the security is tight here.”
“Tomorrow will be different. They’ll be too busy.”
Mny felt annoyed by his uncertainty but kept her tone calm. “That’s why we can’t miss this rare opportunity.”
When the elevator doors opened, they made their way back to the car.
Mny nced at her phone and let out a sigh. “Colton, look. Your mom messaged me again. Her headaches have been going on for a while, and they’re only getting worse. We can wait for the coboration, but her pain can’t.”
She seemed to be acting like she cared about Lindy’s health.
Colton thought back to the call from earlier and rubbed his forehead, irritated. “Alright, we’ll do it. I’ll have someone check about tomorrow’sb tour.”
“Okay.”
At the hotel, Mny went off to freshen up, looking satisfied.
Colton, on the other hand, sank into the sofa, his mind in a whirl. He couldn’t shake the feeling that Alice sometimes reminded him of Allison, and it kept throwing him off track.
He stared at Allison’s name on his phone, aware that she had blocked him a long time ago. Even if he called now, she wouldn’t pick up.
Had she reallye to Vrining with Ken for their honeymoon?
The more Colton thought about it, the angrier he felt. He just couldn’t believe it.
Driven by a sudden impulse, Colton stood up and grabbed the suite’s phone.
Beep!
After two rings, the call went through, and someone answered. Colton’s heart raced. He spoke quickly. “Allison, it’s me, Colton. Please, don’t hang up.”
