Chapter 796

    ?Chapter 796:

Approaching Room 1902, Allison posed a polite question. “Is this Mrs. ke’s room?”

A man stepped forward, his presence screaming caution. “Sorry, ma’am, she’s not receiving visitors.”

Allison crossed her arms and eyed the bodyguards with feigned naiveté. “If it is Mrs. ke who personally invited me, will you still block my way?” The bodyguards didn’t flinch.

“Sorry, ma’am. Mrs. ke is unwell. Please leave.”

Their apologies felt rehearsed, empty of any real concern. Although they called her “thedy,” their demeanor betrayed a stark indifference toward Mollie.

So, Allison heaved a theatrical sigh, loud enough for an audience.

“She’s aware of me but pretends otherwise, huh?” she called out, stepping back and projecting her voice toward the room.

“Mollie, hiding from me won’t do you any good!” Allison continued, her tone dripping with feigned urgency. “The scandal of your husband and me won’t stay hidden for long.”

Allison’s words hung in the air, her voice cutting through the tension. “If you want to avoid a mess before the next election, you’d bettere out and clear the air!” The bodyguards scowled, their patience thinning. “Please leave!”

They could block her entry, but they couldn’t silence her words. With the hallway nearly empty, Allison grew bolder. “Maybe I should just chat with Mr. ke instead? I bet he’s swamped with reporters right now. I wonder how they’d like to hear what I know?” The bodyguards exchanged puzzled looks. Clearly, they were out of their depth with a scandal involving the senator’s family, hesitant to make any moves without orders.

“Still not letting me through?” Allison feigned a move to depart. Walking away would only escte the situation into a full-blown spectacle.

But as she turned to go, one of the bodyguards hesitated and called out, “Ma’am, please hold on a moment. We’ll check with Mollie.”

    Mission aplished.

“Please, make it quick,” Allison urged, casually fingering the green beryl ring on her finger, her smile ever so slight. “My time is running short.”

The bodyguard turned, knocked on the door, and disappeared into Mollie’s room. Shortly after, he returned with the message, “Mrs. ke will see you now.”

    “Alright then.”

Stepping into the room, Allison was greeted by darkness. It was clear that the usual buzz of the club hadn’t followed Mollie to her private sanctuary; she hadn’t turned in for the night but had instead opted for shadows. The atmosphere hinted that Mollie was in no mood for bright lights or pleasantries.

Guiding Allison to the study, the bodyguard murmured, “Mrs. ke is inside.”

    “Thanks.”
