Chapter 873

    ?Chapter 873:

Maybe Mny was lying to him, and she wasn’t pregnant at all.

That way, he could go to Allison without any guilt.

But now, the doctor had confirmed it, so it had to be real.

Mny acted as if she were trying to get up.

“Doctor, if there’s nothing wrong with me, can I leave?” she asked, gazing at him with a pitiful look. “My husband’s usually so busy with work, and I don’t want to take up too much of his time.”

The doctor hesitated, then nced at Colton with a frown.

“Sir, your wife seems fine now, but I rmend staying with her until she’s stable before she leaves,” he advised.

    Colton shrugged. “Hmm. I understand.”

Once the doctor had left, Colton’s face turned cold. “I can stay, but don’t expect any kindness from me.”

He still couldn’t ept the fact that Mny had been deceiving him from the beginning.

The Mny he had once seen as gentle and caring had actually schemed with that man from the orphanage, almost causing Allison’s death.

Just thinking about it left himpletely disillusioned.

But, she was really carrying a child.

These jumbled thoughts only made Colton more irritated.

“Colton, I know I’m to me, but our child is innocent,” Mny said, hoping to avoid being kicked out of the Stevens family.

She looked up, her face pale and full of vulnerability. “If you still can’t forgive me after the baby’s born, we can separate then, alright?”

Colton’s face stayed cold, unaffected by her words. “I’ve already told you, once the babyes, I’ll give you a sum of money, and then we divorce.”

Mny’s resentment grew even stronger when she heard this.

She refused to leave the Stevens family, acting just like Allison had.

“But Colton, I only care about you. Money doesn’t matter to me,” she said, her eyes filled with sorrow, her face pale as if she might faint at any moment.

In the past, Colton would have felt pity for her.

But now, after seeing the photos on the USB, his attitude towards her hadpletely changed. His face remained emotionless.

“I just want you to keep your word. The child must stay with the Stevens family.”

Maybe he had never truly understood Mny.

He was afraid that this woman was far more malicious and cruel than he could imagine. He couldn’t let a child be raised by such a mother.

He was determined to make sure the child had a proper upbringing.

“Alright,” Mny said, reaching out to grip Colton’s arm. She looked at him with helpless eyes. “But before the baby’s born, can you stop being so cold to me? I really can’t handle it.”
