?Chapter 932:
She leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs in a rxed manner. “Now, tell us where Daniel is and anything else you know. If not, next time, I won’t stop at just your tendon.” Ken’s presence was heavy, his mood thick with menace.
“You’re too soft, Allison. If it were me, I would’ve just broken his legs.”
Their light conversation made the man’s vision swim. Whether it was from the pain or the fear, he couldn’t tell. He came to realize that this couple was far more frightening than any mafia.
“Daniel is currently… in a castle in Vrining. It’s on an ind in the middle of ake, well-guarded, and only a few people are allowed inside,” the man gasped, using his blood to sketch a rough map.
It was obvious that his legs were beyond saving. Even if he somehow survived, he would be useless to Daniel — a dead end for him.
“He wants the Hacker’s World key and the smart chip you have,” the man admitted, giving up on any more tricks.
He looked at Allison with a serious expression. “That’s everything I know.”
The Hacker’s World key?
Ken frowned. It made sense there was some link between Allison and Hacker’s World, but he hadn’t expected her to have the key. After everything that had happened, though, he wasn’t shocked.
Allison, however, paid more attention to hisst statement.
“Smart chip?”
She absentmindedly tapped her knee, lost in thought. She recalled that Lilian had mentioned it too. But she knew the chip wasn’t with her.
So, Daniel knew about her mother but was looking for the wrong person.
“Looks like Daniel didn’t learn a thing after barely escaping with his life,” she sneered. “I thought he’d be smarter, but he still dares to challenge me.”
Ken cracked his knuckles. “Allison, I think he’s lying. Should we just kill him?”
At Ken’s suggestion, the man’s breath caught in his throat. “Ms. rke, I swear I’ve told you everything. I’m not lying!”
Allison watched him closely, convinced that he was being honest. “Alright, you can go.”
The man froze for a moment, clearly taken aback by how easily he was being let off. But now, unable to walk, he could only crawl away. “Really?”
“I keep my promises, unlike your boss,” Allison said, nodding. A flicker of hope sparked in the man’s mind, and his thoughts began to race.
He couldn’t help but nce at Allison. Even if he managed to crawl away alive, Daniel would still kill him. His only chance now was toplete his mission.
Allison noticed his hesitation and turned her attention back to him. “Do you have something else to say?”
The man paused, then nervously stammered, “I remembered something, but it’s something I need to tell you alone, Ms. rke.”
