?Chapter 952:
“Mny, just say what you need to say. I don’t have time for small talk,” Allison said, taking a seat across from her.
She noticed that Mny’s left hand rested on her barely noticeable belly. It seemed like a subtle attempt to make a point, but Allison paid it no mind. She already knew the situation.
“Well, then I’ll get straight to the point,” Mny said, a sly gleam in her eyes. “I have photos of you at the Fleeinnd Lab.”
She pulled out a man envelope from beside her and tossed it onto the coffee table without ceremony. The envelope made a sharp “pat” sound, breaking the silence in the room.
“Bet you didn’t expect someone to catch your face that night,” Mny continued, her voice soft but sharp, carrying a threatening undertone. It was as unnerving as the flick of a snake’s tongue.
Mny wasn’t sure why Ken destroyed the research institute, but since Allison was involved, it was clear she held leverage over both of them.
“So what if they did?” Allison tilted her head, her gaze fixed on the envelope. “You don’t really think my being there means anything, do you?”
“Of course there’s more!” Mny sneered, ncing toward the Stevens’ family study. “You killed Colton. These photos prove you set off the explosive.” Her eyes locked with Allison’s. “Allison, you wouldn’t want me to tell Keanu and Lindy, would you?”
Allison narrowed her eyes. “So, what do you want?” Something about the situation didn’t sit right with her. Colton couldn’t have truly died in that building. After all, she had checked and confirmed that the office’s safety systems were designed to shield him, even in the event of an earthquake.
Thinking she had finally intimidated Allison, Mny smirked, her confidence growing. “I want ten million dors for your silence, and I want you to leave Ontdale for good. If you do that, I won’t say a word.”
So, it was ckmail. Allison understood the situation clearly and decided to y along, appearing willing toply. “Fine.”
Her eyes dropped to the envelope resting on the coffee table. “But I need to see the photos first to make sure they’re real.”
Mny slid the envelope toward her. “Take a good look, but don’t even think about keeping them. There are bodyguards everywhere around the house.”
Allison ignored the sarcasm and reached for the envelope. Just as she was about to open it, footsteps echoed behind her.
Mny quickly snatched the envelope back and copsed onto the sofa, groaning dramatically. “Ouch, my belly hurts so much!” she cried out. “Allison, even if you don’t like me, you shouldn’t push me!”
Allison furrowed her brows, instantly realizing it was a trap. The so-called threat was likely just a scheme to get her to the Stevens house.
As she processed this, she looked up, following the sound of the footsteps. Sure enough, Lindy and Keanu walked through the door.
“Allison, what are you doing here?” Keanu asked.
