?Chapter 956:
The butler stood there, looking troubled.
Keanu turned to him and said, “Go ahead. Speak.”
The butler nced at Lindy quickly, then lowered his head. “I’m sorry, but the airline has no record of Mr. Stevens. He never returned to the country.”
Mrs. Stevens nearly lost her bnce. “What did you say?!” Her head pounded, and she struggled to catch her breath as she shouted orders to the security guards.
“Arrest that woman! Call the police! Contact immigration! Find my son right now!”
The butler hesitated, looking uneasy. “But…”
He knew well that Allison had a special status, and Keanu surely wouldn’t approve.
Sure enough, Keanu raised his hand and stopped everyone.
“Stop!” he shouted.
He nearly copsed when he heard that Colton hadn’t returned to the country.
Keanu’s chest rose and fell as he spoke. “Now is not the time to be angry. Send people to Vrining right away to search for him, especially around Fleeinnd. Step up the search! Even if he’s dead, we need to find his body!”
Allison gently patted his back to calm him down. “Don’t worry. I may not know where Colton is, but I’m sure he’s still alive. He could be in a hospital, or maybe at someone’s house.”
“I had Cobweb’s peoplepare DNA from the institute ruins recently. They found no trace of Colton. After all, even if someone dies in an explosion, their bones would still be there.”
In this case, no news was better than bad news.
“Good. With your words, I won’t give up hope.” Keanu felt both angry and worried.
But deep down, he was also disappointed in Colton.
He turned to the butler and said, “Contact immigration and the international police. See if they have any news on him. Start by checking hospitals.”
The butler nodded. “Understood, I’ll do it right away.”
Mny grew anxious when she heard Allison’s words.
What did she mean? Colton might still be alive?
Mny didn’t want anything bad to happen to him either. But after hearing about the research institute explosion and being unable to reach him for days — his phone disconnected — she had believed he was dead.
Later, when she received photos of Allison and Ken from the explosion through a detective, her suspicions deepened. She was certain that these two were seeking revenge. They must have deliberately tried to kill Colton!
“How can you still trust Allison when the evidence is right here?” Mny couldn’t hold back her anger.
She picked up the photos from the table, her frustration palpable. “Look at how intense the fire was. Even the firefighters couldn’t put it out. High-pressure water can break through walls. What chance did charred bones have? The worst part is, Allison was the one who called and led him to theb. Even if he’s still alive, she’s still suspected of seeking revenge!”
Lindy shook with fury as she listened to Mny’s words.
