Chapter 982

    ?Chapter 982:

Mindy clutched her cheek, tears streaming down her face. “I regret it too! It was an emergency back then. I never thought they’d actually take Amya by force!”

Their pitiful disy was nothing more than a transparent attempt to gain sympathy.

Allison just let out a cold, mockingugh.

“So, did you get the four hundred thousand?” she asked, her tone biting.

Ken added, with a sharp sneer, “Or did you just forget receiving the money because you quickly gambled it all away?”

At their usations, Troy slumped, too terrified to speak.

“I’ll take the business card,” Allison said, her voice steady.

Her gaze locked onto the couple, and she delivered her threat. “I’ll try my best to save her, but there’s one thing you need to remember. From now on, your daughter has nothing to do with you anymore. If you ever harass her for money again, I’ll make sure you vanish from Ontdale.”

    Troy muttered, “Un… understood.”

He knew all too well that Allison and Ken were capable of killing.

Once the pair left, Troy’s sycophantic smilepletely disappeared.

His face contorted with rage as he cursed under his breath. “Damn it! Who do those two think they are, talking to me like that?”

“Don’t worry, love,” Mindy said, her eyes gleaming with hatred. “They’ll regret this. If they actually go to that beauty salon, they won’t make it out alive.”

After Allison and Ken got back to the car, Sherman called.

“Mr. Lloyd, all the invitations are taken. Trying to buy one now could look suspicious.”

Ken frowned. “Looks like we have toe up with a different n.”

Once the call ended, Allison pulled out the business card.

“They haven’t left yet. It has to be one of these two reasons: either they’re waiting for someone important, or they’re still short on supplies.”

Ken understood right away. He frowned and asked, “Are you really willing to take the risk?”

Allison nodded. “This cruise ship is easier to get into than the others we’ve dealt with. And a beauty clinic isn’t any more dangerous than a research institute.”

Ken knew that once Allison had made up her mind, there was no changing it.

“I’ll go with you,” he said.

The beauty clinic was clearly a lending tform targeting women, so Ken couldn’t go inside.

    But Allison could.

She nodded and passed him the business card.

“We need to hurry. Time’s running out.”

Ken didn’t like the idea of her taking such risks, but he understood how much Amya meant to her.
