    Allison studied the options for a moment, looking uncertain.


    At the same time, Ken looked down on her while scanning the room. “Anything would be an improvement over how you look now. I think number three looks good.”


    The doctor got the message.


    He realized that once the woman had the surgery, the man would likely drop her without a second thought.


    That thought made him feel at ease.


    It seemed this high-paying client was here to stay.


    While texting the people from Shadow Nine, he nced at Ken. “Sir, you do have great taste. This is our priciest option, and also the mostplicated.”


    Allison’s face tightened with worry. “Is there any risk?”


    “None at all,” the doctor reassured her. “Don’t worry, our hospital can handle the surgery. Although, it will be quite expensive.”


    Finally, getting to the point, Allison felt a bit of relief.


    She pretended to ask nervously, “How much will it cost?”


    “A hundred and eighty thousand dors.”


    This was a shockingly high price.


    In truth, the procedure wouldn’t cost nearly that much.


    But the doctor was worried that if he gave a lower quote and Ken could afford it, his n would fall through.


    Sure enough, as soon as Allison heard the amount, tears started to fill her eyes.


    “I don’t have that much. Darling, could you…?”


    Ken impatiently swatted her hand away. “Don’t expect me to pay for you. Figure it out yourself before youe back to me! I’m the only one who doesn’t care about how you look, but at least try to be prettier!”


    After delivering his final line, Ken turned and left.


    He yed the part of the tight-fisted man who refused to pay.


    But deep down, he was struggling to control his murderous intent.


    For this damned loan shark, he had to reject Allison’s hand!


    Once he got his hands on the boss, Ken would make him regret it.


    Meanwhile, Allison stayed in the consulting room, still ying her part.


    “I’m sorry,” she said quietly, her face filled with regret. “I don’t have enough money. I’ve wasted your time.”


    As she turned to leave, the doctor quickly called after her. “Wait!”


    He licked his lips, his eyes focused on her like a hunter tracking its prey.
