Eunice Tanner and the other two left the ssroom with Connor. They were all puzzled.

They could not understand why May, who had always looked down on Connor, would ask Connor to sleep with her.

Although May did not admit to this today, they could tell from her words and actions that this was most likely true. Otherwise, she would not have asked Connor to leave in such a hurry.

This implied that she had admitted to everything, too!

“Connor, what happened between you and May?”

Dominic couldn’t hold it in any longer. He walked up to Connor and asked him softly.

“Yeah, bro. Why would May ask you to sleep with her?” Spencer asked curiously.

Connor turned and nced at the two. Then, he briefly told them about how Todd kidnapped May, and how she had called Connor to ask him to pay them ransom and save her.

Although Connor didn’t want to reveal his identity to Dominic, Spencer and the others, he felt that there won’t be an issue telling them about the incident.

After listening to Connor’s exnation, Dominic suddenly realized. He quickly said, “May asked to sleep with you to ‘repay’ the 50,000 dors you lent her, right?”

“Yes, but I wasn’t interested in her, so I didn’t touch her. I didn’t think of telling anyone else about this, but May went overboard today. I couldn’t control myself for a moment, so I spilled it!”

    Connor exined softly.

    “Oh, I see!”

Spencer nodded slightly, the doubts he had dissipated.

Dominic and Spencer thought Connor’s exnation entirely believable.

If that wasn’t the case, why would May, who was so arrogant, ask Connor to sleep with her?

“But Connor, where did you get that 50,000 dors from?”

Eunice seemed to have noticed something amiss. She frowned and asked Connor in a low voice,

“That’s right, Connor. The other time, you said that it was because you won the lottery scratchcard that you had the money to treat everyone to a meal. But didn’t you already spend most of it back then? Where did you get this 50,000 dors from?” Dominic suddenly realized that. So he turned to look at Connor and asked.

    “Uh…”

When Connor was faced with the two questions, he was like a deer caught in the headlights. Then, he whispered, “Actually, 1 didn’t tell you the truth back then. I won a total of 150,000 dors from the lottery scratchcard. I spent nearly 100,000 dors on the meal. 1 used the remaining 50,000 dors to save May and Lily. That’s why I have spent all the money now…”

Eunice, Dominic, and Spencer’s eyes widened Connor. They were visibly shocked.

They had never expected that Connor, who had always beenbelled a penniless loser, would be so lucky to win the grand prize of 150,000 dors in one go.

The students of Porthampton University came from all walks of life. Students from ordinary families received only around 2,000 dors a month.

Only a very small number of students from wealthy families would receive more than 3,000 dors a month in allowance.

Therefore, when Connor mentioned 150,000 dors, it was an astronomical figure to Dominic and the others.

What was even more iprehensible to them was that after Connor won the 150,000 dor prize, he had actually spent all of it treating everyone to a meal and saving May and Lily!

The three of them did not know what Connor was thinking. Could it be that he was used to being poor and did not know how to deal with much money after winning it?

Although they did not know why Connor would waste this money like this, they believed his story.

“Connor, since you won so much money, why didn’t you save the money? Even with just some interest, it could improve your life…”

Eunice seemed to be very bothered that Connor had wasted all this money like that. She frowned as she spoke to Connor.

“That money was a windfall to me. Even if it was wasted, it won’t affect me!”

    Connor exined indifferently.

“But this money is very useful to you. If you didn’t spend this money, you won’t have to deliver food anymore. You can also buy a new set of clothes to wear. This way, nobody would look down on you anymore!” Eunice quickly continued.

“Will everyone look up to me if I wore a new set of clothes?”

Connor could not help butugh when he heard what Eunice said, then he continued, “You’re too naive. They don’t look down on me because of the clothes on my body, but because they have already identified me as a poor loser!

“If I use this money to buy an expensive set of clothes for myself, they will still think that I picked it up somewhere or stole it. Even if I take out proof that I bought them myself, they will still think that I’m an idiot. It still won’t change that they will look down on me!”

Eunice was rendered speechless. Connor did make a bit of sense.

“Whether you can make others look up to you, the key lies in others and not in yourself. Look at me wearing this tattered set of clothes now. You still choose to stay by me and be my friend. And those who look down on me, will still look down on me even if I started wearing branded stuff!”

Connor paused before continuing, “I think what I am wearing is pretty good. There’s no need for me to change anything because of other people’s opinions!”

“Actually, I think Connor is right. As long as you’re happy with what you’re wearing, that’s all that matters. There’s no need to force yourself to change because of other people’s opinions!” Dominic seemed to agree with Connor’s approach. He spoke with a smile.

“All well, even if Connor doesn’t want to buy new clothes, he can still use this money to do something else. He doesn’t have to waste it like this!” Eunice said, still a little unsatisfied with the way Connor had spent the money.

Connor knew that the reason Eunice was saying all these was for his good.

So, he didn’t refute anything. Instead, he took out his phone and looked at the time. Then, he said, “Look, I have something to do in a bit, so ciao!”

After saying this, Connor walked to the gate of Porthampton University.

Connor was not in the mood to continue chatting with Eunice and the others. After all, he did not care about that 150,000 dors.

After all, he was now the wealthiest person in the world who had inherited ten trillion dors. A mere 150,000 dors was nothing to him.

Moreover, Connor was still worried about Mina.

As for whether he should buy new clothes, Connor had indeed bought a few sets of new clothes earlier.

But he soon felt that his old clothes were morefortable. At the very least, he could see people’s true color in the way they treated him.

This was also why Connor was still dressed so shabbily despite having bought new clothes..
