Shaun and the producer went to the hospital together with the ambnce, leaving the remaining crew members worried at the set.
"I know Miss Melody can''t swim, but we''ve rehearsed the scene so many times, so she should be able to hold out for at least thirty seconds, right?"
One of the safety personnel felt guilty, afraid that he would be med for the incident.
"I''m not sure, but there''s something strange about the whole thing... Melody didn''t immediately resurface after the thirty seconds was up. I thought it''d be fine for another one or two seconds since she would''ve surely called for help if she felt ufortable. That''s why I didn''t rush over at first.
"I didn''t want to interrupt the filming, and then get lectured by Mister Shaun... But who''d have thought that something like this would happen."
Tracy hid her chuckle.
She was truly a genius. Only she was in the water with Melody at that time, thus she was sure that the rest of the crew members would not be able to find any evidence of what she did.
As Melody was trying to resurface, Tracy firmly grabbed her wrist while she delivered her lines before she eventually shouted for help.
In reality, Tracy had Melody firmly pressed underwater. In just five or six seconds, Melody became deprived of oxygen and eventually lost consciousness in the water.
Tracy would not be afraid at all even if Melody were to wake up. For one, there was no evidence, and secondly, Tracy would be able to dismiss whatever Melody might say against her as a hallucination induced by her fear of the water.
"You guys, don''t be too hard on yourselves. I''m sure you didn''t want this to happen either. Miss Melody always had luck on her side, so she''ll be fine! Don''t worry!"
Tracy squeezed out a few tears, feigning shock, and sped her hands together in a prayer.
The crew members, deceived by Tracy''s acting, had no inkling that she was the one who nearly caused Melody to drown.
"Though Miss Tracy went a bit overboard earlier, she still cared when Miss Melody nearly lost her life..."Copyright N?v/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Many of the crew members were taken in by Tracy''s performance and joined in praying for Melody.
Since Melody joined the cast, she had gone through quite a few ups and downs. They might not be close with her, but no one would wish for a colleague they had just started working with to lose their life. Meanwhile, at the hospital...
Seconds ticked away. Beatrice and Cedric sat outside the emergency room with solemn faces.
"What did Lucas say? Is heing back?" asked Cedric with a frown, thinking that it would be more appropriate for Lucas to be there with them.
"He''d better! I''ve called him and told him Melody is still in the emergency room being treated. There''s no telling if she''s going to make it out alive. And if he doesn''te back after all that, I''m going to give him a piece of my mind!" grunted Beatrice.
However, the elderlydy quickly pped her own mouth. "No! I shouldn''t say that. Melody''s is going to be fine!"
Both Beatrice and Cedric were getting on in age, so Shaun thought it would be better for them to go home instead of keeping guard in the hospital.
Thus, he went up to them and told them to go home with the assurance that he would inform them if there were any updates about Melody.
"Save your breath. You can''t even fend for yourself at a time like this, so why don''t you take care of yourself first?" said Beatrice.
Shaun thought Beatrice''s words were a subtle jab at the recent news involving the crew. It was not until the producer realized that something was off that he pulled Shaun aside to check thetest news online.
