With Husband 630

"By the way, Rosalyn asked when you''ll being over." Jeffrey asked.

"Right now," Felix replied. "My patientes first. Since I''ve agreed, there''s no reason to dy any further."

After all, this concerned the fourth piece of the Dragonspine. He couldn''t afford to waste any time.

On the surface, it seemed like everything was good to go. However, Felix wasn''t so sure if that''d still be the case once he arrived at Ruby Manor. To increase the likelihood of obtaining the Dragonspine, he needed more leverage. "Jeffrey, do you have Axel Crayden''s contact?"

    "I do."

Jeffrey was puzzled. Was there any connection between Axel and the current situation?

"Call him and tell him I''ll be at Ruby Manor this afternoon. You don''t have to tell him anything else."

"Alright. I''ll take care of that now."

After informing Xena, Felix boarded a flight alone. Jeffrey didn''t intend to join him. His personal connection with Rosalyn made it awkward for him to go. It would attract unnecessary gossip.

The first-ss cabin was fully booked, so Felix bought an economy ss ticket, which didn''t matter to him at all.

Not long after sitting down, he heard a familiar voice.

    "Felix?"

Turning around, he was surprised to see Nancy.

"You''re going to Aleshire, too? What a coincidence!"

Nancy couldn''t believe her eyes, and then she grew a bit nervous.

"Yeah, we''re sitting next to each other."

She sat down, looking slightly ufortable. She already knew Felix didn''t see her in a romantic light. "I''m studying at a university in Aleshire for a month."

Since they had already run into each other, Felix couldn''t let Nancy struggle to keep the conversation afloat alone. Hence, he smiled and said, "Ha, you''re furthering your studies! I guess you''ll be getting a promotion when you get back." 1/2

Nancy rxed a little at his words. "Not really. It''s just regr training. I don''t have the luck to be an official."

After the ne leveled off, Nancy remained silent for a while before suddenly gathering her courage. "Felix, I... I need to ask you for a favor. I know it sounds shameless since I haven''t even repaid you for what you''ve done for me. Who am I to ask for help?" Felix felt a bitter pang inside. He didn''t want to get too involved, but Nancy was an innocent woman. On top of that, with Vanessa involved, how could he turn her down?

"Don''t worry," she said. "I know you don''t have feelings for me. I''m not that naive! Love can''t be forced, and I won''t keep bothering you. It''s just that this time, I really have no other choice.

"If I hadn''t run into you, I might have even given up on studying and gone straight home, even if the school was going to punish me for it."

Upon hearing that, Felix had no choice but to ask, "What''s the situation?"

"I have a college ssmate in Aleshire, and his family is quite influential. He never showed any interest in me while we were in school. However, as graduation approached, he started pursuing me.

"I was nning to work in Aleshire, but I came back to Canraville because of him. Now, somehow, he found out I''m going to Aleshire to study. He says he''ll pick me up from the airport. I''m scared."

Felix understood the situation right away but still asked, "Is there something wrong with his character?"

Nancy nodded. "Yeah. He''s had more than 20 girlfriends in college, and six of them had abortions for him. He paid them off every time. I''m worried he might do something extreme if he doesn''t get what he wants. After all, Aleshire is his territory." Felix knew he couldn''t refuse, especially after Nancy had exined it all. "You want me to pretend to be your boyfriend?"

To his surprise, Nancy shook her head. "No! Not that."
