"Not your boyfriend?" Felix was confused.
That was until he heard Nancy''s voice, barely audible as she murmured, "Husband."
Felix blinked. "What''s the difference?"
Nancy mustered the courage to look up and exin, "If I say boyfriend, it makes him think there''s still a chance. But a husband willpletely shut him down."
Ah, so that was her n-quite thorough.
"Alright."
At the domestic arrivals gate of Aleshire Airport, the passing crowd couldn''t help but take a second look.
Two rows of men in ck suits stood in formation. At the front, a young man with slicked- back hair held arge bouquet of roses. He was decently good-looking and was clearly waiting for someone.
Some sharp-eyed observers noticed his wristwatch-a Patek Philippe-and,bined with the entourage, it was clear he was someone wealthy. In Dragonia, there was a saying, The rich in Aleshire were the real rich, while everyone else was just ying pretend". "Isn''t that Ronald Sullivan, the second heir of Unity Holdings?"
"Now that you mention it, it really is him!"
"Poor girl-whoever she is. She''s about to get unlucky."
"Exactly! That guy''s a pro at chasing girls, but he always gets bored after a few days."
Those who recognized him spoke in hushed tones, quickly distancing themselves from the
scene.
Ronald suddenly adjusted his slicked-back hair and strode forward with a smile. "Cici, wee to Aleshire."
His smile froze the next moment when he saw Nancy walking out with her arm linked with Felix''s. Her face radiated happiness, nearly overflowing with joy.
"Ronald, I told you not to pick me up. We''ve always just been regr ssmates. But since you''re here, let me introduce you. This is my husband, Felix Zeller."
Felix nced at the bouquet of roses and quipped, "I know my Cici is amazing. I''m proud that people admire her. But please, keep it under control. She''s a married woman now." Ronald forced a smile andughed. "Cici,e on. Do you really think you can fool me with some random actor? Don''t kid yourself.
"You know my feelings for you are genuine. If it weren''t for my dad making me take over a branchpany, I''d have gone to Canraville long ago to keep pursuing you.
"This trip of yours to Aleshire to study? It''s destiny. My schedule is clearing up, too. Be my girlfriend, and I promise to spend the rest of my life loving you."
After his speech, Ronald turned to Felix, his eyes full of menace. "Kid, I don''t care how much Cici paid you to act the part. Here''s five thousand dors. Take it and get lost." One of his men stepped forward, holding a wad of cash-clearly five thousand dors. "An actor? Your imagination is impressive," Felix replied calmly. "Sorry, but we''re leaving now. And please, stop bothering Nancy. Otherwise, I won''t be so polite next time."
Before Felix could say more, Ronald''s men had already stepped forward to block their path. "You''ve got onest chance," Ronald said, his voice cold. "Refuse, and not only will you miss out on the money, but you''ll also face even bigger problems. You know what I mean.'' Just as Felix was about to respond, Nancy spoke up, clearly angry, "What''s wrong with you? I''m married! What more do you want? Fine! You think my husband is just some actor? How about this?"
With both hands, Nancy grabbed Felix by the face and kissed him on the lips.
"Still think he''s an actor?"
Ronald snapped. He finally believed it.
Nancy had always been the quiet, reserved type in college-never dated and extremely conservative about such matters. If Felix really were an actor, holding hands would''ve been the limit. But a kiss? That was out of the question. Today''s Bonus Offer
