Chapter 585

    ?Chapter 585:

For a moment, Lindy met Allison’s gaze — a piercing stare that chilled her to the bone. She couldn’t shake the feeling that Allison’s eyes saw straight through her.

“What’s going on here?” Reba’s voice came through.

She had backtracked after hearing themotion. When she saw Lindy and Mny kneeling on the ground, disheveled and humiliated, she quickly pieced it together. These two were at it again, stirring up trouble with Allison. And today, they had the nerve to follow Allison all the way here.

With her fiery temper, Reba couldn’t take it any longer.

Without a word, she marched up to Mny and pped her.

The sound cracked through the air like a gunshot.

Unlike Allison, Reba preferred straightforward and direct solutions.

Mny gasped, momentarily stunned. She clutched her cheek, trying to calm the ringing in her ears.

Reba flexed her hand, barely hiding her irritation. “You really are relentless, aren’t you? Do I need to give you a lesson on how to behave yourself?”

Mny snapped out of her daze, the stinging p bringing tears to her eyes. “You… you actually hit me?”

She’d known Reba was bold, but she hadn’t expected this level of defiance.

And Reba was already moving toward Lindy.

“And you,” she sneered, “do you think age gives you the right to bully anyone you please?”

Lindy gaped, words caught in her throat. Her face flushed, fists clenched with helpless fury. “You…!”

Reba held her ground, utterly unfazed. “What?” she challenged. “Anyone who so much as thinks of hurting Allison will answer to me!”

The crowd stood in shocked silence, watching Reba’s daring outburst scatter anyst remnants of tension.

“Can you believe her? Acting all high and mighty out here for everyone to see! Who does she think she is?” muttered someone in the crowd.

“Look at that shy handbag, the way she marches around like she owns the ce. She’s just another arrogant ‘new rich’ type, thinking she can throw ps and get away with it…”

“Hey, don’t re at us. We’re just saying what everyone else is too afraid to. Anyone watching could see you started this!”

Once one person spoke up, it was like the whole dam broke, and the crowd quickly piled on, echoing criticism against Reba. Reba’s face was flushed with anger, and she let out a low, mockingugh. “And what exactly does this have to do with any of you?”

She wasn’t one to let things go easily. The more they challenged her, the angrier she grew.

The man who had stepped forward as the unofficial leader of the mob looked ready to burst with frustration. Not backing down, he raised his phone defiantly.
