Chapter 761

    ?Chapter 761:

Allison nervously bit her lip. “I was just in the reception room and overheard those two guests talking badly about Mr. Shaw and theb. I couldn’t help but confront them,” she exined quickly. “They spilled coffee on my hand by ident. It wasn’t on purpose, so there’s no need to let such a small thing affect theb’s work with them.”

But Jareth was visibly upset, his chest rising and falling with anger. “identally? I highly doubt it was an ident!” he snapped. His expression turned cold in an instant. “Alice, tell me exactly how they insulted Mr. Shaw and theb.”

Allison frowned, recalling the conversation with frustration. “They said it was easy to get the drugs and thating to ourb was doing us a favor.”

Jareth’s face darkened even more. It had been a long time since he hade across such boldness.

“Wait here. I’ll go see what’s going on,” he said, getting ready to head toward the reception room.

But Allison stopped him. “Don’t go. Please, calm down.”

She stressed her point. “Even if you confront them, they won’t admit to anything. They might even turn it around and me us.” She shook her head, then added, “Mr. Williamson, please don’t let this ruin our coboration with them. Just make sure we don’t get the short end of the stick in the negotiations.”

Jareth slowly rxed, taking a rare moment to study Allison.

He hadn’t expected her to be so considerate, taking on the unfairness for the sake of the bigger picture.

“I won’t confront them now. Go tend to your injury first,” he said.

“Okay, thank you, Mr. Williamson,” Allison replied, turning to look for a first aid kit.

Her attitude became casual. She hoped that Jareth would pass on her words exactly as she said them to Verruckt.

Jareth walked directly to Verruckt’s office and knocked on the door.

“Mr. Shaw, the two clients who came in today were extremely rude, and they even burned Alice.”

He made Allison’s words sound more dramatic as he reported them to Verruckt.

“The couple is still in the reception area.”

Sincest night, Verruckt’s rtionship with Allison had beplicated. He had been bothered by this matter the entire day. The news only made his anger grow.

Verruckt looked up with a cold, hard stare.

“Let them wait. Make things tough for them. Don’t go easy on them.”

    “Got it.” Jareth nodded.
