?Chapter 867:
That alone was enough to spark his interest in getting involved.
After the meeting, Allison headed back to her room, her mind racing with thoughts.
“You’re finally back,” Ken said, lifting her effortlessly. “I’ve been waiting forever.”
Before Allison could respond, the world tilted, and suddenly she was in his arms, lying on the bed. He propped himself up on either side of her, his breath carrying a mix of authority and undeniable charm.
Ken bent down and looked into Allison’s eyes. “Allison, you two have been chatting for quite some time.”
Allison smiled andughed quietly when she heard this, then wrapped her arms around Ken’s neck. “But it wasn’t a waste,” she said.
Ken saw how happy she looked and figured that she had gotten a good answer. “Did you make a deal?”
“Yes,” Allison replied thoughtfully. “He wants to take out Verruckt and Josh by tomorrow. It seems like he’s aiming to profit after we act.”
Ken snorted in disdain. “Such greed,” he muttered.
Their partnership certainly worked in both their favors. Allison yfully ran her fingers over his Adam’s apple. “Are you jealous of Mr. Vargas?” she asked.
Ken grabbed her fingers and replied, “What if I am?” He countered, holding her fingers. “Allison, it’s not just jealousy. I have a lot of dark sides.”
Even though they were together, Allison could walk away at any time.
Ken was aware of his obsessive and ruthless nature.
He had never admitted his intense desires to Allison. Especially in bed, even when he had herpletely, it still didn’t feel like enough. He wanted to keep Allison by his side forever.
“Ken, I know what you’re worried about,” Allison said softly. She ced her hand on his chest. “But like I told you before, everyone has their secrets. What matters to me is how we feel when we’re together.”
As soon as she finished, Ken caught her fingers with his teeth.
A warm, damp feeling spread from his tongue.
It was as if an electric charge ran through her whole body. “My feelings won’t change,” he murmured.
Ken kissed his way from her fingers to her lips. “Allison, I only love you.”
But he knew deep down that he couldn’t let her stay now. Ken smiled, his voice rough as he asked, “Are you leaving again tonight?”
Allison blinked, surprised that this was what worried him. “I do need to get back to theb before morning,” she said.
She wrapped her arms around his neck.
“But we still have three hours,” she added.
The dim light in the room created a soft, intimate glow. Allison gave him a yful, innocent look. “So, Mr. Lloyd, let’s see if you can keep me here for three hours.”
