Chapter 906

    ?Chapter 906:

Verruckt was a predator, ready to snap her neck at any moment.

“Look at me, or I’ll tear your eyes out.” His fingers dug into her chin.

Blood from the bullet wound on his cheek dripped, but he didn’t mind. In his red eyes, all he saw was Allison.

A momentter, Allison slowly opened her eyes. Their gazes met, and in the thick smoke around them, everything else seemed to fade away. All that could be heard was the thumping of their hearts.

Without warning, Verruckt gripped her chin harder and leaned in. Then, without hesitation, he kissed her — cold, violent, and almost uncontroble.

    Own Weapon

The kiss caught herpletely off guard. Verruckt was like a man on the brink of losing his mind. He exuded a fierce, murderous energy, and everything in him urged him to kill Allison.

However, as he leaned in, what he did was kiss her—his lips touching hers. Their breaths mixed, one cold, the other hot.

Verruckt had an air of superiority, cold and merciless to the core. But in that moment, he went against his own nature. He lowered his head, leaving himself vulnerable.

Allison was briefly shocked but quickly took advantage of the opening. A gleaming de appeared in her hand, aimed straight at his heart.

    Thud!

Despite Verruckt’s lightning-fast reflexes, blood spread across his chest as the de struck home. Had it been just three inches deeper, it would have gone straight through his heart.

Allison had already pulled back, putting some distance between them.

“You’repletely out of your mind,” she said, her breathing fast as her gaze stayed locked on him. At that moment, neither of them had a weapon. What was about to happen would be pure, unfilteredbat.

“Subject 001, you should never have pushed me,” he muttered. She had willingly approached him first, but in doing so, she had betrayed him without a second thought. His face was dark, yet his sharp eyes were fixed on her. The blood trickling from his wounds—on his arm and chest—was because of her.

No one else had ever pushed him this far.

“I warned you,” he said coldly, “betrayal alwayses with a price—death at my hands.”

Verruckt carefully removed the de from his chest, the glint of his blood still fresh on its edge. Despite his elerated healing, the wound was deep.

Allison’s strike had caused serious damage. Not far off, Ken hade to his senses.

When he saw Verruckt fling the bloodstained de at Allison, Ken didn’t hesitate. He instantly threw his own dagger to block it.
